Peace Charis Home is a rehabilitation home for drug addicts. The home was pioneered by Rev Daniel Choo with help and support rendered by members of Peace Charis church. This marks the beginning of another chapter of the church ministry.
The home was set up in March 2007 to reach out and extend our helping hands to drug addicts and their family members. Many regard these addicts as the "outcast of society" and to make matters worse, not many of them have successfully broken the habit. Ps Daniel believes that with God, nothing is impossible. As a former drug addict himself, his life is a testimony of the miracle that God has performed. Today, he can confidently proclaim that "By the Grace of God, I am who I am today. God has given me a second chance at life, and I would like to help others who are willing to be changed by God."
This year, the home has registered a sharp increase in the number of inmates, thus creating a pressing need to look for a bigger house. As the committee was deliberating about it, a couple approached Pastor Daniel and offered a bungalow in Kajang to be utilized as a home for those who are going through the rehabilitation programmed. We praise God for the generosity of this couple.
